Christened by the Revd, John Cannell.   Apprantly he never married this was confirmed in Death transcript sent from Australia in May 2000 after finding his burial place.

 

February 2002 information came to light that Alfred served in the Volunteer Rifles in the Boer War in 1900 with Lord Methuen's Division.
